Pick the boot.iso from Fedora/images directory, and burn it into a CD-R or CD-RW. For Fedora 7 x86, you can use this image: boot.iso.
Configure Language and Keyboard as appropriate.
When asked about Installation Method, choose HTTP.
If necessary, manually configure the network interface.
In the HTTP Setup window, use format.di.unipmn.it as the Web site name, and select the Fedora directory from the following table:
Desired version | Directory |
---|---|
Fedora 7 x86 | /fedora/7 |
Fedora 7 x86-64 | /fedora64/7 |
Fedora 6 | /fedora/6 |
Go on as usual.
OPTIONAL: to use this server for updates and additional installation of packages, you should manually modify the following files under /etc/yum.repos.d/, commenting the mirrorlist= lines, and adding the following lines (one per file):
fedora.repo: baseurl=http://format.di.unipmn.it/fedora/7/Everything/ fedora-updates.repo: baseurl=http://format.di.unipmn.it/fedora/7/updates/
(The preceding paths are for the x86 version; please make the appropriate path for your version using the table before.)
