How to Net-Install from Format

Pick the boot.iso from Fedora/images directory, and burn it into a CD-R or CD-RW. For Fedora 7 x86, you can use this image: boot.iso.

Configure Language and Keyboard as appropriate.

When asked about Installation Method, choose HTTP.

If necessary, manually configure the network interface.

In the HTTP Setup window, use format.di.unipmn.it as the Web site name, and select the Fedora directory from the following table:

Go on as usual.

fedora.repo:		baseurl=http://format.di.unipmn.it/fedora/7/Everything/
fedora-updates.repo:	baseurl=http://format.di.unipmn.it/fedora/7/updates/

Ovvero, non c'è tutto quello che c'era prima, ma ci sono già molte cose che prima non c'erano.

Programmi per il futuro immediato:

• Probabilmente ritorneranno tutti i repository non ufficiali per fedora.
• Valutare la possibilità di reintegrare (ed espandere) la presenza dei vari *BSD.
• Valutare l'opportunità di inserire tutto SunFreeWare
• Valutare come mantenere aggiornati i driver per Windows
